I love being a Utah Wedding Videographer because at least once a year I get to film at the Salt Lake Temple which is where I was married. It often brings me back to that moment of being a bride and makes it all just feel so close to home. I filmed Mark and Kelsey’s big day last May. Her mom really wanted a videographer to capture her daughter’s wedding and she found me! I loved the colors Kelsey picked out and I think everything flowed naturally from temple to reception. Their reception was at The Lodge at Traverse Mountain.
This wedding was also my first wedding using my new stabilizer. I’m still getting used to that thing. I’m saving up for this really awesome camera that will let me rack focus with the touch of my finger to the LCD screen. That way, I will be able to shoot with a shallow depth of field (giving it that cinematic look) while still being to keep everything in focus.
Kelsey’s sister in law, Darillyn with db Photography, was her photographer. I thought it was so awesome that she involved a family member with the wedding other than just being in the wedding party. I filmed both of my sisters weddings so I loved seeing family involved in Kelsey’s wedding. I remember Darillyn being so nice and making sure I had all the shots I needed before we moved on to the next shot. I’d definitely love to shoot another wedding with her in the future.
I believe it was Darillyn who submitted this wedding to Premier Weddings of Utah. I was featured in a bridal magazine and felt so honored. For a full list of vendors, scroll down. :)
