I love being a Utah Wedding Videographer because at least once a year I get to film at the Salt Lake Temple which is where I was married. It often brings me back to that moment of being a bride and makes it all just feel so close to home. I filmed Mark and Kelsey’s big day last May. Her mom really wanted a videographer to capture her daughter’s wedding and she found me! I loved the colors Kelsey picked out and I think everything flowed naturally from temple to reception. Their reception was at The Lodge at Traverse Mountain….
What goes on in the back end of Wallingford Films? Well, the first thing to know is that being a Utah Wedding Videographer means that I live in close proximity to multiple different landscapes. I also happen to live smack dab in the middle of the state so I can drive 3 hours is any direction and hit the Utah border of another state. It makes it super convenient so that is why I offer my services statewide….
I love fashion and wish I could pull off all these stylish outfits and accessories. Sometimes I feel like I need a fashion intervention. I don’t wear anything ugly, but my typical is a jeans, t-shirt, and tennis shoes. I wished that I would have been wearing cute clothes when were shooting together because at the end she pulled out her Polaroid camera and took a picture of us. I felt cool. I was so excited to edit this video for her that I think I did that the same day.
Learning to market my business is so much more involved than I thought it would me. Being a Utah Wedding Videographer means I need to make a concerted effort in this saturated wedding market. Not only do I have to be blogging often, I also need to be posting on Instagram frequently. Instagram is the top of today’s conversation. Let me explain the frustrations I have with this app…..
Make sure when you choose a MUA that you love their portfolio. Instagram is often a great way to see the up to date work of a MUA you are interested in for your wedding. If I could do my wedding over (working in the wedding industry I think about it all the time) I would go back in time and hire Kenzie to step in and do my makeup……..
I met Colton and Ashley through a mutual friend. I remember sitting in my surrogate roommates’ apartment (that is a whole long story) eating this Chocolate Candy Bar cake. Oh my! Was that ever delicious! Anyway, Ashley was there and that is where we unofficially met. Colton wasn’t there but I do remember her talking about Colton, whom she had met down at Dixie State University….
